History, Legacy and Heritage: Roosters Reveal 2023 Jerseys
The Sydney Roosters Home and Away jerseys for 2023 have now been revealed, and are available for Roosters Members and supporters, brought to you by Castore.
Under the themes of History, Heritage and Legacy, the Roosters' two primary jerseys have all derived from iconic and recognisable designs throughout the Club's 115-year existence.
Season 2023 will be the 70th consecutive season the Roosters have worn the famous design as their primary jersey, which has featured in Premiership victories in 1974-75, 2013, 2018-19 and more recently, the 2021 NRLW Premiership.
The design - first introduced in 1954 - is one of the most famous in Rugby League and is synonymous with the Sydney Roosters, which will be proudly worn once again throughout the upcoming season.
Roosters Members and fans who cheered on the Tricolours in the mid-to-late 1990s will be excited to see the return of the away jersey worn between 1996 and 2000.
Featuring two striking red and blue chevrons adorned on a white canvas, the design dubbed The City Jersey will be worn in a majority of the side's away matches throughout 2023.
The jersey featured in a number of iconic Club moments such as Brad Fittler's first game for the Club and the 2000 Preliminary Final victory at the Sydney Football Stadium which saw the Roosters qualify for their first Grand Final in two decades.
